Maybe I was right, and maybe Michael Bay probably should have been tactful and not said anything in response to Megan Fox's Entertainment Weekly article after all. In her response to his response (or tangentially related), Fox tossed out this horrifying little anecdote about just how Bay auditioned her for the part for which should apparently isn't grateful enough...
"She told (Guardian writer Jason Solomons) she went to director Michael Bay's house to audition and he made her wash his Ferrari while he filmed her. She said she didn't know what had happened to that footage. When (Jason Solomons) put it to Bay himself, he looked suitably abashed. "Er, I don't know where it is either."
Wow... um, that's really more pathetic than anything. We've all heard stories of casting couch nightmares, but there's something uncommonly emasculating about being a major Hollywood director and still feeling the need to have an unknown starlet perform manual labor for your (apparent) sexual gratification. Was I the only one thinking of Bad Lieutenant? Let's be honest here, in a year's time, once the critical consensus of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has evolved to where audiences and critics agree, I think the franchise is going to need Megan Fox more than it will need Michael Bay.

Michael Bay videotaped Megan Fox washing a car for her Transformers audition? Wow, I guess Michael Bay really does use his female actors as props.
