As of yesterday, Harry Potter 6 took a $300,000 lead over Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen to become 2009's highest worldwide-grossing film. While the robot sequel leads the boy wizard fable by $395 million to $280 million in domestic grosses, the sixth Harry Potter picture now leads internationally (both have currently amassed over $822 million). With Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince now consistently outgrossing Transformers 2 on a daily basis, the ranks are unlikely to change unless James Cameron's Avatar really does reinvent the wheel this December.
