Jim here. Slashfilm has word via The Korea Times that Eric Brevig (JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH, YOGI BEAR) is setting his stereoscopic sights to the Korean War with a big budget 3D movie. Apparently the script is nearing completion and preproduction will commence soon thereafter. Actual shooting will start in November of next year.Brevig was supposedly inspired by Kang Je-gyu’s Korean War blockbuster TAE GUK GI: BROTHERHOOD OF WAR. Anticipated release window? 2012.
The more quality live action 3D the better! I know someone who will most likely be involved with this project and I will ping him for more details if they are out there. Stay tuned!
